Research Dossier — Jaguar SS 100 (1939)
Context. Built by SS Cars Ltd. (soon to be Jaguar), the SS 100 is a lithe pre-war sports roadster famed for rally and trials success. Final-year cars retained the long-hood, short-tail stance with wire wheels and plentiful louvres.
Signature cues. Fine mesh grille with SS badge, separate headlamps (often with auxiliary driving lamps), deeply cut cycle wings with chrome beading, louvred bonnet sides, step plates, rear-mounted spare and fold-down windscreen or twin aero screens.
Cabin & hardware. Bucket seats in leather, turned-metal or wood fascia with simple gauges, exposed handbrake and shifter, tonneau cover, strapped bonnet on competition cars. Inline-six with twin SUs, 4-speed manual and leaf-spring chassis.
Use the menus to match a specific car (color, lamp package, wings, screens, exhaust, interior and spare). Press Generate to bake choices into all four outputs. Prompts emphasize robust, legal LEGO techniques with widely available parts.
