Copy-Ready EMT / Paramedic Student Practice Output
Study Areas This Tool Trains
This hub follows common EMS training areas: scene size-up, patient assessment, airway, breathing, circulation, medical emergencies, trauma emergencies, special populations, operations, documentation, and communication.
Start with one dispatch scenario. Then work through scene safety, primary assessment, triage, equipment, protocol review, and handoff practice.
Begin With Scene Safety
EMS care starts before touching the patient. Students should notice traffic, violence risk, fire, weather, animals, fluids, weapons, power lines, unstable structures, and the need for more help.
Use the Primary Assessment Order
The first assessment should identify life threats. Students should form a general impression, check responsiveness, manage airway, assess breathing, assess circulation, control major bleeding, and decide transport priority.
Practice Triage Out Loud
Triage is a decision, not a guess. Students should explain what makes the patient immediate, delayed, minor, expectant, or high-priority transport based on airway, breathing, circulation, mental status, and injuries.
Finish With a Handoff Report
A clear handoff protects the patient. Students should report age, sex when relevant, chief complaint, key findings, vitals, treatment, response to treatment, history, medications, allergies, and destination concerns.
