Research Dossier — 1961 Fiat 600 Multipla

Overview. Based on the rear-engined 600, the Multipla pioneered the compact MPV: a forward-control cab, short wheelbase, and reconfigurable benches for up to six occupants. Its friendly two-tone bodies and airy glasshouse made it an icon of Italian city streets.

Powertrain. Rear-mounted inline-four (600-series) with 4-speed transaxle; by 1961 many wore the 600D’s 767 cc unit, though earlier cars used 633 cc.

Signature cues. Oval mesh grille panel, round headlamps flanking a small central brightwork piece, pronounced beltline for two-tone paint, sliding side windows, rear deck with vertical louvers, and delicate hubcaps on tiny wheels.

Use the menus to select two-tone colours, roof style, seating layout, wheels, trim level and engine version. Click Generate to populate the four output levels with buildable guidance using widely available LEGO elements.
